Van Gogh 360 Makes Its First Debut In Mumbai, India
As the name suggests, Van Gogh 360 showcases some of the most celebrated artworks of the artist through a visually immersive experience. This exhibit, which was present in London, Paris, New York, and some other parts of the world, made its first Indian debut in Aamchi Mumbai.
Mumbaikars across the city have been excitedly waiting for this, and the enthusiasm amongst art lovers has been greatly visible. This one-of-a-kind exhibit opened its gates on 20th January 2023 and will go on till 3rd March 2023. It is held at the World Trade Centre in Mumbai, tickets for which are available on BookMyShow and VanGogh360’s official website.
45 Minutes of Artistic Bliss
Before you enter the main exhibition hall, there is a small hallway that consists of screens where you can read about the life of Vincent Van Gogh and the inspiration behind his works. Did you know that the artist created 2000 artworks in a span of just 10 years? Incredible right?
Once you pass through this information hallway is when you enter the place where the magic happens. Floor-to-ceiling projections of over 300 of the artist’s most popular works are featured, giving you the feeling of stepping inside each of them.
Each projection is also greeted with an instrumental soundtrack, which adds to the experience. ‘The Starry Night’, of course, is the grand finale of this sensory event, leaving the crowd with great Instagram-worthy images and a day to remember.
However, what we also felt is the experience was a bit underwhelming for the price. The projections could have been sharper and lacked saturation. But nonetheless, this experience is worth witnessing at least once.
